Worship Folder Templates: Sneak Peek
This is something I've been working on since the very beginning of Paramentics. These worship folder templates will be beneficial to those churches who like to print out all or most of their services. The initial release will feature 3 unique themes with 7 different services: Divine Service I, Divine Service II, Matins, Vespers, Compline, Morning Prayer, and Evening Prayer. The templates are made exclusively for Apple's Pages app for Mac OS X and iOS (Windows versions are still in development). They will be released by the end of the week and I will also post a free style guide that will outline the best practices in using art in worship folders. And now, the video:
Symbols 1
Today, I would like to introduce an entirely new series of art called Symbols. Symbols 1 contains 20 unique designs that come in both black and white styles. This first pack focuses on some of the most frequently used symbols in Christianity. These are great for introducing the service, service sections, or themes throughout your worship folder. They can also be useful in bible study printouts and PowerPoint/Keynote presentations.
Every design comes in both 600 pixel and 1200 pixel sizes, which gives you freedom to use them for small and large applications. JPG, PNG, TIF, and EPS files are included for each symbol.
This is the first collection of several that will be released in the near future. Look for 20 more symbols coming this Spring that feature the evangelists, disciples, and apostles.
New Shopping Cart
I am very excited to announce a new shopping cart system that I have been working on for the past couple weeks. This new shopping cart is completely integrated into the website and will not send you away from the site, which has caused trouble for those of you with strict firewall settings.
The new system is built with Squarespace Commerce and uses Stripe for payments. Stripe is an incredibly secure and seamless system for accepting online payments. This new process will be just as easy, if not easier than the previous shopping cart system. It also allows me to add some new shopping features down the road that will greatly benefit you.
The website has been given a slight facelift that compliments the new shopping experience. I hope you like it and thank you for supporting Paramentics.
New Releases and TIFF Files
In an effort to make sure you have the artwork before you need to print your materials, I am making Tuesdays the day on which I will announce via email any new art that is posted to the site. In the coming weeks you will see that there will be more than one set of art posted per week. This will be an ongoing trend that will hopefully give you more confidence in buying my art, as well as allow you to purchase art every 2-4 weeks in bulk, and not week-to-week.
Starting this week, I am adding the TIFF (TIF) file format to all digital art packages from here on out. This was requested by a few of you, and it should give you more compatibility with certain computer applications. All TIF files will come in the same large (300dpi) and small (150dpi) formats as the JPG and PNG files you have received in the past. These files are best suited for printing and use grayscale color. Basically, TIFs take the best qualities of JPGs and PNGs: They use grayscale color for printing like the JPGs, and like PNGs, they come in smaller file sizes that do not lose any of their quality.
Stay tuned for some very exciting additions and announcements that will be coming soon.
Indexing and Elements
By now you may have noticed a change in the numbering system with the files you purchased. In order to help you keep these files organized, I created a simple system that will hopefully make it easier for you to find the files you wish to use in the future.
Click here to see this index.
The index includes the three year cycle, as well as minor festivals. The two minor festivals that have been done thus far are Reformation (M26) and Thanksgiving (M28). You will notice that there are two more sections on the last page: Evangelists & Seasons and Elements. The Evangelists will feature the symbols of the four gospel writers, and Seasons will be art for the seasons of the church year that will be useful for covers.
Elements is a new series that is not bound by a particular Sunday or service. These collections of art are comprised of different elements found in nature that may enhance your worship folders. The first set is Stars. This set also includes EPS files, which are invaluable vector images that allow you to print the images at the highest possible quality and edit and customize them to best suit your needs. Hope you enjoy them!
